Bio Adam Johnson

Adam is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of The P4 Companies, where he oversees business operations, human resources, finance, risk management, and policy development. With nearly two decades of experience in the security industry, Adam has established a career distinguished by leadership, innovation, and operational excellence.

He began his career at Target Corporation, managing security, safety, loss prevention, and operations across a high-revenue region generating over $400 million annually and employing more than 2,000 people. In 2012, he transitioned to Securitas Security Services USA, where he managed one of the region’s largest portfolios. His expertise spans multiple industries, including commercial real estate, data centers, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and retail. He has a proven record of enhancing security operations, driving business growth, and increasing portfolio profitability.

Adam is dedicated to advancing the security industry through training, professional development, and value-driven, integrated security solutions. He has played key roles in professional organizations, including serving as a consultant to the board and past president of the Illinois Security Professionals Association (ISPA). During his tenure, he led the recruitment of ISPA’s first executive director and drove significant growth. He remains actively involved with ASIS International, currently serving on the Security Services Steering Committee, and is a member of the Team Software (WorkWave) and Security Contractor Advisory Board.
